Please join us in welcoming Pete McEvoy as CEO of ProList.
On January 25, ProList founder, Dave Lokos, announced his appointment of Pete McEvoy as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. In his speech to staff, Mr. Lokos said, “While he came to ProList in the HR role, Pete’s actually been in a variety of leadership positions in small and large organizations his entire career. He’s spearheaded many transformative initiatives with great outcomes, and even though he’s only been here a relatively short time he truly cares about the success of the company and its people as much as I do. I chose Pete because he brings broad outside experience and perspective that few in our industry sector can match. I still own the company and will be continuing to support Pete and ProList. I’m fully confident that with your help and expertise, Pete, and you, can ensure the long-term future success of ProList.”
Since joining the ProList team in early 2021 as Chief Human Resources Officer, Pete has built a strong rapport with employees across the organization. He began by interviewing a large, representative sample of the workforce to identify their concerns, likes, dislikes and goals as employees, developing an employee net promoter score, providing prompt feedback of the results to management and staff alike, and developing plans to address the most significant issues. Soon buckling down to tackle the matters raised in that early consultative exercise, aided by his bilingual fluency, he developed productive relationships across the company, built confidence and trust, and further unified our team. Another major priority was hiring. His multistrand strategy, and our improved employee retention levels, reduced our vacancies almost to nil at a time when companies have been struggling with people issues.
Pete has a master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Brunel University, London, UK and is a Senior Certified Professional of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). His experience stretches well beyond Human Resources. He has been at the forefront of multi-million-dollar, enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives for leading companies in the US, UK, Latin America, and Africa, and has led major sales, contract development, and management efforts at international organizations engaged in pioneering scientific research.
After thanking Mr. Lokos, Pete said, “I’ve been at ProList for nine months. That’s been more than enough time to convince me that the conditions for ProList’s future success are already here. This is going to be a crucial period in the history of ProList. We will benefit from the many positive things that are represented by more than thirty years of progress since Mr. Lokos started the company, but we cannot be content to rely on the past. We must focus on the present, or we will miss the future.” His vision is of a highly productive company with a highly engaged staff, adding that the basis of our success must be strong relationships with customers and employees alike, referring to the necessary characteristics of mutual respect, trust, honesty, commitment, compromise, care and communication. In his spare time, Pete enjoys the outdoors. Among its challenges he’s summited very high mountains, done long-distance cycling, marathon running, ridden wild-water, bungee’d, and parachuted, both tandem and solo. He says, “I’ve learned a lot about the importance of vision, pace, perspective, determination, and teamwork . . . and remembering you don’t get far if you don’t take time to remove any stones from your shoes.”
Dave will continue to play an active role in the company, primarily in data and analytics. Dave founded ProList more than 30 years ago and has a background in database management. He was the principal architect of Trackmymail.com which is now a Pitney Bowes product and will continue in his role as CEO of SnailWorks, a leading provider of innovative mail tracking services, Informed Delivery® advertising, political mail tracking and digital marketing support.
